Anti-Mormonism

      Mormonism has been around in our country since the middle of the 19th century but hasn't always been accepted. Like many religious groups we have studied so far, the Mormons have been making their way into society to be accepted by humanity.




     After visiting an anti-Mormon website, it's clear that some people still feel hostile towards this religious group. The website states Mormonism is a "freemasonry demonic cult" filled with "con artists and sex perverts". The author of the website comments on Mormon's being sex crazed and worshipers of the devil. He correlates them with a lot of these negative things and uses hard language to get his points across.


This is similar to what the Catholics went through with people hating them when they started to arrive in America. People would accuse them of being in a cult and worshiping various demonic figures. Just like the author of this anti-Mormon website, people would be prejudice against the Catholics. I'm sure if this author could physically harm Mormons and get away with it he would. People would hurt Catholics because they did't agree/like their views.

I believe that people need to be aware of how their decisions to judge people ruins their chances at a first impression. The issue comes from ignorance and intolerable acceptance. We share this Earth and can't run away from the people in it. So why not try and see other's opinions?
