Is America a Christian Nation

As we wrap up the semester, Lippy leaves us student with the chapter asking "Is America a Christian Nation?". I feel like there are many ways to answer this question.

Yes, Christianity is the largest religion in America. It was also what our founding fathers settled our beliefs on. We incorporated it into our money, schools, and daily lives. But when it comes down to it, I personally believe we are not a Christian nation. We have so many religions around us that so many people practice. I think we shouldn't have one religion as the Alpha but rather live with many Betas. We are also fighting with others about religion when we should be learning and embracing other's ideas and beliefs. We argue all the time because we feel like we have to be the best and on top.

I think Lippy left us with this chapter because he wants us to think deeper into what we have been learning. We have literally become a melting pot of religions and more keep coming into our pot. He wants us to see that there can be more to religions than a number and growing population. We should be seeing people's religions and allowing them to practice them, not stifle them.
